Description
This dialogue lets you define base objects located around one or more planning objects.
This gives you, for example, an overview of the operation districts of your sales representative and you can see which locations your sales representatives can reach within 30 minutes and where coverage gaps or excess capacities exist.
To do plan catchment area, proceed as follows:-
You can access plan catchment area by
Click on menu button → Select <plan catchment area> under territory planning menu.
Under the plan catchment area, there are two tabs available
- Layer & object selection
- Planning procedure
Layer and Object Selection
1. Select the desired planning layer and base layer.
If no base layer has been defined for the selected layer, the Define hierarchy window appears; you can then define a base layer.
The planning layer must be a layer allocated to the base layer, Manage. In this case, the base layer is automatically entered.
2. Select either Include all objects, if you want to include all planning objects in the calculation or Select objects if you only want new plans for individual planning objects.
In the base layer area, select either Include all objects, if you want to include all base objects in the calculation or Select objects if you only want new plans for individual base objects.
If you need, enable exclusive selection option for planning layer or base layer.
3. Switch to the next tab planning procedure.

4. Select the desired distance criterion:

5. Enter the value for the distance criterion in the Maximum value per planning object field.
6. For multiple allocations, select one of the following options:-

| Allocate base object with a value of 100% | You can allow 100% of the selected base layer object to several planning objects. |
| Allocate base object proportionately | You can distribute a percentage of the selected base layer object over several planning objects. |
7. Enable the option Discard existing allocations if needed, that is if you want to ignore existing allocations when creating multiple allocations.
8. Click on <Calculate> button.
