Description
User can use this feature to allocate an object at base layer to one or more objects at planning layer.
User can import allocations between base layer to the appropriate planning layer.
The following options are available for importing allocations:
1. The planning layer is empty.
If import an allocation into an empty planning layer, the planning objects are created to reflect the allocation and their reference points are determined.
2. The planning layer already contains planning objects, but it does not yet contain allocations.
If allocation contains objects that do not exist at planning layer, user can add them, or ignore this.
3. The planning layer already contains both planning objects and allocations.
If allocation contains planning objects that do not exist at planning layer, user can add them, or ignore this. The already existing allocations can either be replaced, updated or kept.
The allocation screen can be accessed by
Click on menu bar --> Click on menu → Select Allocation.
To do allocation, proceed as follows :-
1. Open System layer allocation wizard by 'Click on menu bar --> Click on menu → Select Allocation'
2. Planning and base layer selection
In the Planning layer selection box, select a layer.
If the selected layer is already linked to a base layer, the base layer is automatically displayed in the next field.
If the selected layer is not linked with a base layer yet, the Define hierarchy window automatically appears.
Define the base layer in this window.
In the planning layer list, able to create new layer by selecting (New Layer).
3. Indicate where your allocations are located
Project data table : - The allocations are located in a data table for the layer
External data table : - You can access to a data table containing allocations
4. If you select project data table and Click button.

If you select external data table and Click button.
Then you can upload external files
5. Click on button.
6. Specify the ID's of base objects and planning objects

Enter the fields with the IDs for the base layer and planning layer.
The selected field is greyed in the preview.

You can use the Optional field with percentages option. You can choose between the Set all to 100% option, or a different numeric field in the import table.
In the Existing allocations area, define how to handle any existing allocations:
Replace :- This deletes the original allocation table and replaces it with a new one.
Update :- Only overwrites allocations that have changed. All other allocations are kept. New allocations may be added.
Keep :- This means that the existing allocations remain unchanged and new allocations are added.
7. Click button
Non allocated objects are showing in a pop up and user can able to print and export this list.
